Turn a feature brief into acceptance criteria

Make a supplied feature brief testable with positive, boundary and failure criteria. Keep unresolved product decisions visible instead of silently designing extra scope.

Before you begin

What you’ll need

  • Supply the intended user action and any agreed permission, boundary and failure rules.

Limitations

  • This prompt has not been executed by a model.
  • Uses supplied inputs only; it cannot browse, update accounts or verify external facts.
  • These criteria are a draft specification, not executed tests or a complete implementation plan.
Your inputs

Make it yours

Use the information you want this template to work with. Required fields are marked .

Try sample inputs

Creator-provided examples replace only the selected field. Choosing one does not run the template.

Feature brief and agreed rules

A signed-in member can rename their own saved recipe folder. Trim leading and trailing whitespace. The resulting name must be 1–40 characters. Other members cannot rename it. If saving fails, preserve the old name.
Include the actor, action, permissions, boundaries and expected failure behavior.

Your run is private to your account on SecondBrain, with inputs and results scheduled for removal after 24 hours. Running this template sends the supplied inputs to OpenAI; that service’s data policies also apply.

Fill in the inputs, then run this template. Your result will appear here.

Review the result

Creator’s review points — assess these against your own inputs.

  • Trace each criterion to its exact quoted source rule.
  • Confirm that boundary cases use the declared range.
  • Keep unresolved decisions in open_questions rather than silently choosing behavior.

Manually authored editorial example using fictional sample inputs. SecondBrain has not executed this sample or independently verified model performance. This is a fictional product brief. The sample does not introduce a duplicate-name policy or invent implementation details.
